JEWISH CHILDREN TO BE SLAUGHTERED

 Jews settled in the area in the 1820's.  By 1931, the Jewish population was in excess of 5,000 out of a total population of about 37,000. 

 The Germans occupied the town on September 3, 1939, and formed a Judenrat in November.

  Refugees from Austria, Czechoslovakia, and Silesia increased the Jewish population to over 6,000. 

 Many of the Jews were sent to labor camps in Germany, and over 2,000 were mobilized for work in local businesses supplying the German army.  

Deportations to Auschwitz started in May 1942, and the ghetto was created later that year.  When the camp was liquidated, there were about 1,000 Jews remaining, and they were sent to the ghetto in Sosnoweic and from there to Auschwitz.

  A revolutionary surgery took place on this day 64 years ago, changing the world of medicine as we know it.  For the first time ever, a machine was inserted into the human body in lieu of a body part that was no longer able to function correctly.  In 1958, two doctors, cardiac surgeon Ake Senning and medical device engineer Rune Elmqvist, implanted the first ever internal cardiac pacemaker into the body of Swedish engineer Arne Larsson. Larsson’s surgery was done to treat his Stokes-Adams syndrome, a condition that slows the heartbeat and decreases blood flow to the brain, resulting in potentially fatal fainting spells.  This revolutionary internal pacemaker was the size of a hockey puck and used two transistors that would deliver tiny shocks to the heart. Unfortunately, the first edition of this pacemaker would not last past 8 hours.  Why are people in Europe afraid to touch on the topic of the Great Patriotic War? Because they ALL fought against Red Army And everyone should know this. In 1941, not only Germany attacked the USSR. The rest of Europe was also attacked, with the exception of the Serbs and Greeks. The USSR was attacked by Spanish divisions and French legions, Italian armies, Romania, Hungary, Finland, parts of Czechoslovakia, Croatia, etc. So, the Brest Fortress was stormed Austrians, and Sevastopol - Romanians and Italians. Even Albania sent the SS Skanderbey division to fight in the USSR. Romanians, Hungarians, Croats, and Slovaks were eager to grab a piece of the USSR. The execution of women by the Nazis during World War II This is a tribute to the amazing courage of so many young women during World War II who were put to death for plotting and fighting against the Nazis, as resistance fighters, partisans and activists in towns and concentration camps. It is estimated that more than 4,000 women of various ages were hanged by Nazi forces between 1939 and 1945. Many more were shot or guillotined and many were tortured before minimal or non-existent trials.  They could be sentenced to death by People's Courts and executed within prisons, by the commandants of concentration camps or by military commanders in the field and summarily executed, usually in public. It shows a group of fifteen young German soldiers standing in a semicircle, carousing and laughing as one of their comrades emulates a sex act with an unidentified woman who may or may not be dead. The laughter of his comrades suggests approval for the actions of the man on the ground.   Redd Foxx did a really risky, yet honorable thing for his friend LaWandaPage (Aunt Esther) back in the day. To understand why he did it, you have to first understand their history together. Redd and LaWanda were really close friends in real life, long before they were comedians. They were friends since their pre-teen years and they attended the same high school in St. Louis.  Just a twist- Davy Crockett's older sister, Effie Crockett was invited to help some mothers in the Muskogee Tribe.  Once she arrived in camp, Effie laughed at what she saw. The Muskogee Tribe had a custom of cradling their pappooses among the swaying branches of birch trees. This protected their babies from ground insects, the sun, and wild animals.  After first finding it funny, she soon learned all the great reasons for this practice and marveled at the beauty of it.  Effie watched the swaying and soothing motion of the topmost branches of the trees.
