Captured Chinese Soldiers beg for their lives thinking that they are going to be executed, Korea 1951.

During the Korean war Chinese PLA was morphed into People's Volunteer Army that was made to be distinctly different than the PLA.

one interesting engagement I read about was the engagement/ Battle of Unsan, this was a unique engagement where US troops came face-to-face with Chinese troops. The Chinese army was weaker, less technology and less weapons. But something strange happened  the Chinese came victorious out the battle.

The reason for this was the fact that UN forces(US) highly underrated the Chinese troops with one commander (US) quoting

"The enemy who is delaying you for the moment is nothing more than remnants of Chinese divisions fleeing north. We're still attacking and we're going all the way to the Yalu. Don't let a bunch of Chinese laundrymen stop you." 

The Americans even after being accompanied by tanks and helicopters

I'm no big fan of Chinese and frankly I don't like their expansionist policies as of late, but they did manage to do well in this battle!

  A revolutionary surgery took place on this day 64 years ago, changing the world of medicine as we know it.  For the first time ever, a machine was inserted into the human body in lieu of a body part that was no longer able to function correctly.  In 1958, two doctors, cardiac surgeon Ake Senning and medical device engineer Rune Elmqvist, implanted the first ever internal cardiac pacemaker into the body of Swedish engineer Arne Larsson. Larsson’s surgery was done to treat his Stokes-Adams syndrome, a condition that slows the heartbeat and decreases blood flow to the brain, resulting in potentially fatal fainting spells.  This revolutionary internal pacemaker was the size of a hockey puck and used two transistors that would deliver tiny shocks to the heart.  Why are people in Europe afraid to touch on the topic of the Great Patriotic War? Because they ALL fought against Red Army And everyone should know this. In 1941, not only Germany attacked the USSR. The rest of Europe was also attacked, with the exception of the Serbs and Greeks. The USSR was attacked by Spanish divisions and French legions, Italian armies, Romania, Hungary, Finland, parts of Czechoslovakia, Croatia, etc. So, the Brest Fortress was stormed Austrians, and Sevastopol - Romanians and Italians. Even Albania sent the SS Skanderbey division to fight in the USSR. Romanians, Hungarians, Croats, and Slovaks were eager to grab a piece of the USSR.   The Koraga are a tribal community found mainly in the Dakshina Kannada, Udupi districts of Karnataka and the Kasaragod district of Kerala, south India.  These areas in Karnataka, are altogether often referred to as Tulunaad, which roughly corresponds to the boundaries of the erstwhile South Canara district.  They are also found in small numbers in adjoining districts of Uttara Kannada, Shimoga and Kodagu. The Koraga are classified by the Government of India as a Scheduled Tribe.
