In war, do soldiers ever pose for pictures with the corpses of the enemies they killed?

Although I saw a number of these pictures, I never witnessed anybody doing it. In the units I served, such behavior wouldn’t have been tolerated.

The only exemption I remember was when some of our guys in Bosnia posed for a group photo that included parts of a human skeleton. Still, I'm not sure that these bones were from an enemy soldier. It might have been a farmer.

The souvenir pictures with the dead ones are usually not shown around a lot. If they go public, it often causes a scandal.

Nevertheless, I think they are quite common, especially among soldiers who didn’t see a lot of action. How do you want to convince your older brother at home that you really have been through the worst sh*t, if you haven’t? A picture of you with a dead body might do the trick.

On the other hand, seasoned combat soldiers don’t waste their time with these kinds of idiocies. They don't have to prove anything to anyone.

 A horrific video of two women being paraded naked on a road by a group of men in Manipur has been shared widely on social media, drawing massive condemnation and calls for action. The two women were gang-raped in a field, a tribal organisation has alleged. The execution of women by the Nazis during World War II This is a tribute to the amazing courage of so many young women during World War II who were put to death for plotting and fighting against the Nazis, as resistance fighters, partisans and activists in towns and concentration camps. It is estimated that more than 4,000 women of various ages were hanged by Nazi forces between 1939 and 1945. The Muskogee Tribe had a custom of cradling their pappooses among the swaying branches of birch trees. The capture of brave Russian officer Rosinski This is a shocking image and I apologize in advance for sharing it, but here’s one that truly got to me… in Belarus, 1918, after WWI had already ended, the brave Russian officer Rosinski was captured by the Bolsheviks. The Bolsheviks tortured the captain, likely to get information out of the man, which he bravely refused to give. After that, they simply continued with the torture out of some sick sense of innate cruelty. He was ‘the enemy’ and he was at their mercy, so they brutally murdered their captive.
