Katherine Campbell and Martha Lang were hanged and later set ablaze in Scotland for witchcraft.

The girl who had accused Campbell of stealing milk was the victim of their curse, which was their crime.

The truth is that the girl developed an unidentified sickness following this incident, which caused her to experience extreme hysterics or catatonic states. During her visits, ash, coal, chicken bones, and balls of hair were discovered within her mouth—hints that pointed to witchcraft rituals.

Together with Lang and Campbell, 35 other individuals—two of them were boys—were also charged, given hanging sentences, and later burned (some allegedly still alive throughout the process).

The Paisley Witches, sometimes referred to as the Bargarran Witches or the Renfrewshire Witches, are the facts.
