 SCAPHISM or THE BOATS method of punishment

SCAPHISM or THE BOATS was a method of execution where the condemned was sandwiched between two canoes or halves of a log, force fed milk and honey and be left in the middle of a stagnant body of water where the victim was generally stripped naked. 

The smell of this cocktail and the inevitable excrement attracted insects and other vermin to devour the body. The condemned is told to lie down in the one boat. His arms and legs are tied into position and placed jutting out through the circular cutouts. Then the second boat is placed atop the first so that the person’s head, feet and arms are all protruding from the contraption but the rest of his body is covered by the boats.

The jars are opened and milk and honey are brought forth. The executioner pours the liquids into the condemned man’s mouth until he gags and tries to vomit. Then the rest is poured on his exposed skin. His face, feet, and arms are lathered in the sweet liquids. 



Then the man is pushed off the shore and allowed to bob out on the bog. He will remain here until he dies, either from exposure, insect bites or from aspirating his own vomit.

Every day, the executioner will check on the victim and do their best to prolong the man’s life. He will be given water, honey and milk and be lathered again until he is dead. Whether that takes a few hours or a few days, it makes no difference. I think the world before we came into existence was more Wicked than what we have today..

The two women were gang-raped in a field, a tribal organisation has alleged. The execution of women by the Nazis during World War II This is a tribute to the amazing courage of so many young women during World War II who were put to death for plotting and fighting against the Nazis, as resistance fighters, partisans and activists in towns and concentration camps. It is estimated that more than 4,000 women of various ages were hanged by Nazi forces between 1939 and 1945.   ‘Father never spoke much about the war.’ Joe Wood enlisted in 1915 because he saw it as a chance to return to England to see his mother.  Rather, Joe found himself on the Western Front in 1916. He survived Fromelles, but near Ypres in 1917 he was severely wounded in the thigh. Joe pretended he was dead until he was rescued.  Attempts to save his leg failed, and it had to be amputated.  Returning to Australia in 1919, Joe did not receive a pension because authorities deemed he could still earn a living.
