 This is a random one, but I still laugh thinking about it...the power of xray

So I have a close friend ‘Rudy’ who used to surf all the time in Manhattan Beach, CA. One day he sends me a text and says “bro I took a bad spill on the surf yesterday and really messed up my hip. Do you know any orthopedic surgeons that can take a second look at this xray?” He then attaches the xray.

I’m not kidding when I tell you that a few hours later I just so happened to be visiting another friend who is an orthopedic surgeon! I’m seriously not making this up. Anyway, I remembered Rudy’s ask and showed the surgeon the xray image. At that same exact moment another female doctor who was standing around glanced at the pic and screamed, “GIVE ME YOUR FRIEND’S NUMBER, NOW!!”

Not understanding why she even cared, I took another look at the pic and there it was…!!

Point is, the pic was a meme (likely a fake) going around, I never paid attention to the details, and I got punked…BAD! I still laugh about it, 10 years later!!

The two women were gang-raped in a field, a tribal organisation has alleged. The incident happened on May 4 in Kangpokpi district, some 35 km from state capital Imphal, according a statement by the Indigenous Tribal Leaders' Forum (ITLF). It is estimated that more than 4,000 women of various ages were hanged by Nazi forces between 1939 and 1945.   ‘Father never spoke much about the war.’ Joe Wood enlisted in 1915 because he saw it as a chance to return to England to see his mother.  Rather, Joe found himself on the Western Front in 1916. He survived Fromelles, but near Ypres in 1917 he was severely wounded in the thigh. Joe pretended he was dead until he was rescued.  Attempts to save his leg failed, and it had to be amputated.  Returning to Australia in 1919, Joe did not receive a pension because authorities deemed he could still earn a living. He had to work in a small-arms factory in Lithgow to ‘make ends meet’.  Joe’s daughter, Nola, said her father possessed a wicked sense of humour, but never spoke about the war. ‘And he never complained even though often he was clearly in a lot of pain.’  Joe was issued a wooden leg but didn’t like to wear it - instead he used it was an umbrella stand. The pictures they took were published all over the world and have continued to shape the public’s image of the concentration and extermination camps to this day. They also came to serve as evidence of the National Socialist crimes. The war correspondents were as shocked as the American soldiers by the conditions they discovered in Buchenwald.
